Stephen Groves grew up in Colorado in the United States and attended Taylor University in Indiana. He spent four years in Nepal, writing and working for an organization that prevents human trafficking. He also met his wife Sarah in Nepal. He moved to Brooklyn last year to work towards a joint Master of Arts in Journalism and International Relations at New York University.
