This book provides an updated review and criticism of
the progress of the continental, transitional and marine Quaternary
deposits of Uruguay. It is primarily based on an analysis of the geological
and paleontological evidences, synthesizing the time (numerical ages,
biostratigraphy), environment and climatic situations involved and highlighting
the most relevant paleontological content.
