He was former director of ICAR-National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), Cuttack, Odisha and former Professor of ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. Dr Visnu D Rajput is presently working as Leading Researcher (Highly Qualified Specialist) at Southern Federal University,Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
