He uses experimental, theoretical, and numerical tools to understand different Fluid-Structure Interaction phenomena both from a fundamental point of view and with applications in several fields including wind energy and biomedical science. After receiving his PhD from McGill University in 2006, he spent 3 years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Postdoctoral Associate. He then moved to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2009.
