Yu Mao-Hong is a famous professor of Xi'an Jiao Tong University, Xi’an, China. He has been studying on the strength theory of material and structural for a long time since graduated from Zhejiang University in 1955. He proposed twin-shear yield criterion for metals, the twin-shear strength theory for geo-materials, and the unified strength theory for different kinds of materials in 1961, 1985, and 1991.
