She is a Board Member of the Washington Brazil Office. She is author of The Politics of Survival: Black Women Social Welfare Beneficiaries in Brazil and the United States (2023).Minion K. C. Morrison is Professor Emeritus, University of Missouri-Columbia, USA; Affiliate Professor, Joe Biden School, University of Delaware, USA. Morrison is past president of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists (1998-99). He was previously Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Mississippi State University. He is the recipient of the 2016 Lillian Smith Book Award (2015) and the Aaron Henry Lifetime Achievement Award, Mississippi NAACP.
