Carl Fredrik Bergström is Professor of European Law at Uppsala University. He has a background as researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, lecturer at Stockholm University and Head of Legal Research, later Director, at SIEPS, the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies. His primary areas of expertise are EU constitutional law and rulemaking systems, comparative constitutional law and legal methods. Magnus Strand is Associate Professor of European Law at Uppsala University and Director of research in the law and business unit at the Department of Business Studies. He also acts as project leader for two research projects on the use of artificial intelligence in the financial markets (FinTech and RegTech, respectively). These projects are funded by The Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program - Humanities and Society (WASP-HS). His general research background in commercial EU law and civil law. Doctoral thesis and other previous output have mainly concerned issues that may arise in the interface of EU law and national law.
