Dr. S. Venkata Mohan  Bioengineering and Environmental Sciences Lab, Department of Energy and Environmental Engineering, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) S. Venkata Mohan is a Chief Scientist at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad, India with an expertise in photosynthesis, CO2 sequestration, advanced waste remediation, aciodogenesis, microbial electrogenesis, circular bioeconomy and biorefinery. He has M.Tech (1993) and PhD (1999) in Environmental Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, India. He was Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Fellow at Technical University of Munich, Germany (2001-02) and Kyung Hee International Fellow, South Korea (2018) and visiting professor at Kyoto University (2005). Dr Mohan’s research majorly intended to understand and respond to the human-induced environmental change in the framework of sustainability in the interface of environment and bioengineering. He has successfully demonstrated the production of low carbon biohydrogen with simultaneous waste remediation at pilot scale and established a first of its kind waste biorefinery platform.  Dr Mohan authored more than 350 research articles, 60 chapters for books, edited 4 books and has 9 patents and his work has been cited more than 30000 times.   Dr. Rachapudi V. Sreeharsha  Biofuels and Climate Change Mitigation Lab, Department of Life Sciences, CSJM Kanpur University, Kanpur Dr. Sreeharsha is an Assistant Professor at Department of Life Sciences, CSJM Kanpur University, Kanpur, India with an expertise in photosynthesis, synthetic biology, biofuels, and biorefinery. He has M.Sc. (2008) from Andhra University and PhD (2017) from Department of Plant Sciences, University of Hyderabad, India. He was DST-INSPIRE Faculty at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad, India (2018-2022). Since 2017, he has been a principal investigator working on improving the feedstock for biofuel production and mitigating the climate change through CO2 sequestration through physiological and molecular approaches. He has produced more than 20 publications and his work has been cited more than 400 times.
