Dr. Sitao Zhu, Associate Professor in School of Civil and Resource Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing.
Dr. Zhu focuses on the research of the mechanism, monitoring, warning, and prevention of coal mine rockburst/earthquake occurrence. Hosted 5 projects including the National Natural Science Fund, Key R&D Program Tasks, and Postdoctoral Fund. Received over 20 provincial and ministerial level awards such as the China Association for Science and Technology Youth Talent Promotion, Green Mining Youth Science and Technology Award, and Hebei Province Science and Technology Progress Second Prize. Published over 30 SCI and EI papers by first/corresponding authors, and authorized 15 national invention patents and 6 software copyrights. Undertake over 40 horizontal projects for mining enterprises. The research results have been widely used in more than 20 rockburst / mine earthquake mines in China, such as super thick topsoil, super thick hard rock, super thick coal seam, multi coal seam and isolated island.
