Feng Yang is a Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). His research interests include studies of petroleum engineering and petroleum geology. He has worked on petrophysics, fluid transport, reservoir engineering and reservoir simulation of geo-energy systems. His recent research is focused on the shale reservoir characterization, shale oil occurrence and mobility of Sichuan Basin, Bohai Bay Basin, Beibu Bay Basin. He has published over 50 publications in scientific journals. He is a Highly Cited Scholar of Petroleum Engineering in China. Shang Xu is a Professor of Earth Sciences at the China University of Petroleum (East China). His research interests include studies of sedimentology, reservoir geology and petroleum geology. He has worked on seismic interpretation, sedimentary system, and hydrocarbon migration and accumulation in the Bohai Bay Basin. His recent research is focused on the exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas, including shale sedimentary environment, shale reservoir characterization and shale gas and shale oil enrichment mechanism of South China and surrounding regions. He has over 60 publications in scientific journals and is a guest editor for two special issues. He is an elected fellow of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and has served as an Associate Editor of the AAPG Bulletin. He has also a reviewer of several journals including English and Chinese.
