The book reveals this burgeoning field by addressing it through various lenses: (i) institutionally, through the development of supranational governance arrangements such as the set-up of European frameworks for regulation, supervision, and restructuring of credit institutions, in particular the SSM and SRM; (ii) substantially, with the creation of the Single Rulebook for banks, and (iii) theoretically, as this framework situates European banking policy as a substantive EU policy within European integration and harmonisation.
