Dr. Zongjin Li is a Professor at the Department of Pathophysiology and a Director of the Laboratory of Molecular Imaging and Stem Cell Therapy at Nankai University School of Medicine, Tianjin, China. He received his PhD degree from Peking Union Medical College and completed his postdoctoral training at the MIPS (Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford) and the Department of Radiology at Stanford University (USA). Professor Li focuses his research on molecular imaging, stem cell therapy, stem cell derived exosomes, and biomaterials. He has published more than 140 peer-reviewed papers and his work was funded by several key grants from National Key Scientific Program of China and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is on the Editorial Board of several scientific journals and serves as a reviewer for multiple national and international grant agencies. Moreover, he shows his active leadership role in stem cell research as Vice Director, Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Council on Stem Cell Engineering, and International Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA).
