Dr. Ruan received his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in mining engineering from University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), China, in 2013, 2016, and 2021, respectively. Since February 2021, Dr. Ruan has been in the School of Civil and Resource Engineering, USTB. Dr. Ruan was awarded the 7th Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by the China Association for Science and Technology and Youth Science and Technology Award of Green Mining. He has devoted himself to the green mining with cemented paste backfill and particular rheology. He has engaged in more than 10 projects, including youth project and key project from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Due to his academic achievements, Dr. Ruan has obtained 3 special prizes and 3 first prizes of Provincial and Ministerial Award. He obtained more than 10 Chinese invention patents and published more than 40 papers and 1 monograph. He is a young editorial board member for Green and Smart Mining Engineering, International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy, and Materials.
