Dr. Naseer Hussain is an Assistant Professor at B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. He completed his doctorate in Environmental Technology, specializing in waste management and nutrient recycling, from Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India. Following his Ph.D., he pursued postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and McGill University, Canada. Dr. Hussain's research is centered on sustainable agronomic practices aimed at nutrient recycling, improving crop nutrient use efficiency, enhancing soil carbon pools, reducing nitrogen and phosphorus losses from soils, and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. He has authored 25 research papers in renowned scientific journals, including Journal of Hazardous Materials, Journal of Cleaner Production, Science of the Total Environment, and Journal of Environmental Management. Dr. Hussain has been the recipient of several prestigious fellowships, such as the Indian Overseas Postdoctoral Fellowship (DBT, India), the Agrophytosciences Postdoctoral Fellowship (Centre SEVE, Canada), and the Institutional Postdoctoral Fellowship (IIT, Delhi). He currently teaches Environmental Biotechnology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervises multiple postgraduate thesis projects. Dr. Chih-Yu Hung is a scientist at Environment and Climate Change Canada in Ottawa, and a lecturer at McGill University, where he teaches Soil Nutrient Management and Biophysical Environment. He earned his Ph.D. from McGill University and previously worked as a research scientist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Dr. Hung’s research addresses critical environmental challenges, focusing on greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural systems. His work specializes in quantifying nitrous oxide emissions from agricultural soils and methane emissions from liquid manure management. By advancing understanding in these areas, he is helping shape best management practices to reduce emissions in Canada’s agricultural sectors. He has published extensively in leading international journals, including Science of the Total Environment, Soil Biology and Biochemistry, and Agriculture, Ecosystems and Environment. His contributions have earned him numerous recognitions, including the NSERC Doctoral Fellowship, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council Scholarship, the Centre SÈVE Award, and the North America Taiwanese Professors Association Young Scholar Award. Dr. Lixia Wang is a Professor at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Lixia has been engaged in research on the prevention and control of non-point source pollution for over 20 years and has presided over more than ten National Projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Water Major Special Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Strategic Priority Research Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has published more than 60 academic papers in prestigious journals (notably Journal of Hazardous Materials, Bioresource Technology, Chemosphere, etc.), applied for more than 10 Patents, and recently authorized six patents. She has won 3 Provincial Science and Technology Awards and submitted one government consultation report. The Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Development and Reform Commission entrusted Dr. Lixia with evaluating and developing 'The Jilin Model for the Construction of a Beautiful China'.
