Muhammad Sayadur Rahman is Professor of Public Administration at Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He earned his PhD from Heidelberg University, Germany. During more than twenty-two years of involvement in academic and research work, he has been written several books, book chapters, and research articles. His research articles have been published in different refereed national and international journals and he has published many books as well. His research interests center on politics-bureaucracy relations, local governance and development, environmental governance, and public health.
Shamima Akter is currently a freelancer researcher. She received her B.S.S. (Hons) and Master’s degree from the Department of Public Administration at Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her S.S.C from Safiuddin Sarkar Academy School and College and H.S.C from Rajuk Uttara Model College, Dhaka. Her areas of interest are local governance, public policy and governance.
