Prof. Dr. Jan Grossarth, born in Heidelberg in 1981, has been teaching bioeconomy and circular economy at Biberach University of Applied Sciences since 2021. From 2021 to 2023, he was a member of the research project "Precaution and Innovation as Bioethical Principles in the Bioeconomy" at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. Between 2010 and 2019, he worked as a journalist specializing in bioeconomy topics for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, where he received several prestigious awards. He earned his doctorate in 2018 from the University of Regensburg with a thesis on the metaphors of agroecological discourses. Prof. Grossarth holds a diploma in economics, with a focus on statistics and economic history, from LMU Munich (2008).
