Mary Jane Haemig received a Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) in church history from Harvard University in 1996. She taught at Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, Washington) from 1994 to 1999 and at Luther Seminary (St. Paul, Minnesota) from 1999 to 2018. She is the author of many chapters, journal articles, and reviews. Previously she received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Harvard University in 1981 and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Minnesota in 1977.
