Jan Blüml has been working at the Department of Musicology, Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic, since 2014. His primary academic focusis the history of popular music in East Central Europe, with a particular emphasis on music in the former Czechoslovakia. Aleš Opekar works in the Department of Musicology at the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. He specialises in the history and theory of popular music. He is active in the field of music journalism and is co-founder of the Museum and Archive of Popular Music (Popmuseum) in Prague.
