Dr. Cuong Huu Nguyen is an Associate Professor in Education, currently serving as the Director of the Quality Assurance Department and Head of the Education Research Group at Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He earned his Master of Assessment and Evaluation from the University of Melbourne and his Ph.D. in Education from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Assoc. Prof. Nguyen has led several projects on quality and quality assurance in higher education, funded by both local and international networks and agencies. He had over a decade of experience in policymaking for quality assurance at the Vietnam Education Quality Management Agency, Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. His research interests include higher education, educational policy, leadership and management in education, assessment and evaluation, quality assurance and accreditation, human resource development in education, and foreign language teaching and learning.
Dr. Thanh Quy Nguyen is a Professor of Sociology and currently serves as the Rector of the University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-UEd). He has rich experience in education quality assurance in general and in accreditation as one of its mechanisms in particular. He was the Director of VNU Institute for Education Quality Assurance and led the first legally established accreditation agency in Vietnam. He has a number of publications in educational research, especially in educational measurement and assessment. As a practitioner, he has been a chair for more than 30 external review panels for assessing and granting accreditation to Vietnamese universities and colleges. His main research interests are educational governance and administration, leadership and management, science education, quality assurance, assessment, and evaluation.
