Bridget Irene is Senior Lecturer in business management at the Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University. Her scholarly interests range widely, encompassing entrepreneurship and focusing on the culturally instantiated facets of the debate on gender entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial competencies, family businesses, entrepreneurship education, and the informal economy. Her PhD research contributes to the already established discourse on gendering entrepreneurship and provides explicit feminist perspectives highlighting the inadvertent reinforcement of women’s subordination to men in the context of entrepreneurial endeavours. Bridget is the deputy track chair for the Entrepreneurship SIG at the British Academy of Management. Joan Lockyer is a Professor of Entrepreneurship. She has extensive experience of strategic leadership and entrepreneurship development in a wide range of organisation types. She has led several projects successful in Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Joan’s research interests focus on the transformative effect of entrepreneurship through education, but specifically on the interplay of policy, innovation and leadership. She is particularly interested in the role of entrepreneurship in helping minoritised and disadvantaged groups. James Okrah is a visiting scholar at the Department of Development Studies, University of Ghana. He is a distinguished Ph.D. graduate from Ural University, Russia and specializes in the dynamic intersection of institutions and innovation within his research endeavours. Since 2016, he has actively contributed as a research fellow, demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise. His scholarly impact is evident through his role as the primary author of numerous influential articles, showcasing his profound insights and dedication to advancing knowledge in his field.
