Founding member of the Colombian Academy of International Law (ACCOLDI), Board Member of the Global Business and Human Rights Scholars Association, and the Latin American Business and Human Rights Academy and Co-Chair of the International Law Association (ILA) Committee on Business and Human Rights.
Olena Uvarova is Associate Professor, Chair of the International Lab on BHR at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (since 2018), Business and Human Rights Specialist, UNDP.
In June 2022, Olena joined the Law Group, Wageningen University, as a researcher.
She is the author of the National Baseline Assessment on Business and Human Rights in Ukraine, co-author of the UNDP Scoping Study “The Status of the Implementation of the UNGPs on Business and Human Rights in Europe and Central Asia”, co-founder of the Central and Eastern European Association on Business and Human Rights, and co-president of Global Business and Human Rights Scholars Association. Olena is also a guest Co-Editor of the Special Issue on Business and Human Rights in Eastern Europe for the ‘Business and Human Rights Journal’ (Cambridge University Press) and a member of the journal’s editorial board.
