Yongsheng Ma is Chief Geologist—Sinopec Group Company, Fellow—Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Adjunct Professor at Peking University. Dr. Ma was Recipient of the 2022 Norman Foster Explorer Award from American Association of Petroleum Geologists, for his contribution to Sinopec’s discovery of two giant deep gas fields in Sichuan Basin and the first commercial development of shale gas field (Fuling) outside of North America.Maowen Li has been Chief Scientist at the Sinopec Petroleum Exploration and Production Research Institute and Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Shale Oil and Gas Resource Development since 2010, after 24 years of study and work in Australia, UK, and Canada. He has authored 170+ technical papers, with a h-index of 59. He has been Associate Editor of organic geochemistry for 30 years and serves on editorial board for many journals.Hairuo Qing is Professor in the Department of Geology at the University of Regina, Canada. His main interest is in the characterization and modeling of carbonate reservoirs. He is Editor in Chief of the Bulletin of Canadian Petroleum Geology and Associate Editor for sedimentology.
