Janki Andharia is the dean, School of Disaster Studies at TISS, Mumbai. Her areas of work focus on gender issues, environmental concerns, social planning and participatory development, addressing diverse forms of marginalization and vulnerability. Professor Andharia has participated in numerous national disaster response activities and has worked closely in the area of post-disaster relief and rehabilitation. Prof. Andharia's recent book on "Disaster Studies: Exploring Intersectionalities in Disaster Discourse" was published in 2020 by Springer. Pankaj Anand is a professional with over two decades of rich, relevant and varied experience in programme management, evidence-based advocacy, knowledge management, development communication and resource mobilization in India and South Asia. He has worked on a wide canvas of issues including public health, gender, citizen action, governance, sustainable development and the issues of farmers and Adivasis. Pankaj is currently the director, Programme and Advocacy, Oxfam India. His own experiences of engaging with the state and central government, citizens groups as well with the donors help bring fresh insights to Oxfam India’s work with the poor and the marginalized sections of the society.
