This play is based on Pedro’s upbringing in Chetwynd, BC. He hardly ever sees a good or accurate depiction on stage of small-town folks and issues. Usually, it's only as a backdrop to the big-city character’s journey. He wanted to change that.Pedro wrote this play because he was tackling being a climate activist and sometimes forgetting the small communities that would be erased as we shift from a carbon economy, devastating his own hometown and family’s livelihood.This story depicts the very real threats of forest fires happening in BC right now.
