Robyn M. Gillies, Ph.D., is a professor of Education at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. Her research focuses on the social and cognitive aspects of learning through social interaction with a focus on small group interactions, inquiry-based learning, classroom discourses, and classroom processes related to learning. She has worked extensively in elementary and secondary schools to help teachers embed student-centered pedagogical practices, including collaborative learning into their classroom curricula to promote student interaction and learning.
