Ágnes Petho is Full Professor of Film Studies at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, whose research focuses on the theory and analysis of the intermediality of moving images. She is author of Cinema and Intermediality: The Passion for the In-Between (2011), which was revised and enlarged with additional chapters for the second edition published in 2020, and of numerous articles and book chapters on topics related to cinematic intermediality. Petho is the editor of a series of volumes, including Caught In-Between: Intermediality in Eastern European and Russian Cinema (2020), and executive editor of Acta Universitatis Sapientiae, Film and Media Studies published by Springer Nature, a scholarly journal that frequently runs special issues of interest for intermedial studies.
