Riho Altnurme is professor of church history at the School of Theology and Religious Studies, University of Tartu. His main research interests are the churches, the state and society in the twentieth century. He is the editor of Old Religion, New Spirituality: Implications of Secularisation and Individualisation in Estonia (2021). Jaakko Olavi Antila, D.Th., is a diocesan pastor and theological advisor to the bishop in the Diocese of Lapua, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. His main research interest is twentieth-century church history. He has written a history of the General Synod of ELCF (2014). Jouko Talonen is professor (emeritus) of church history at the Faculty of Theology at the University of Helsinki. His main research interests are revival movements, especially Laestadianism; church and politics; Baltic church history, especially the church history of Latvia.
