Chinese Academy of History (CAH) is the first national-level institution of historical research in the People’s Republic of China. CAH was established on January 3, 2019, and received a congratulatory letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping. CAH is committed to constructing an interdisciplinary hub for historical sciences, integrating resources and expertise to implement major research projects, and guiding historical research nationwide. It also aims to become a comprehensive national research center for Chinese history, a global hub for academic exchange in Chinese historical studies, and the world’s most authoritative and influential institution in the field. Through these efforts, CAH contributes the wisdom and expertise of Chinese historiography to the realization of the Chinese Dream of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
