Deborah H. Drake is Professor of Criminology and Social Justice at The Open University, UK. She completed her PhD in criminology at the University of Cambridge (2007) and her MA in sociology at the University of Saskatchewan (2003). She is author of a number of journal articles and of Prisons, Punishment and the Pursuit of Security (Palgrave, 2012) and co-editor of The Palgrave Handbook of Prison Ethnography (2015). Reece Walters is Professor of Criminology at Deakin University, Australia. He completed his PhD at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (2000). He is the author of Deviant Knowledge (2003), Eco Crime and Genetically Modified Food (2010), Southern Criminology (2018), and Water, Crime and Security in the Twenty-First Century: Too Dirty, Too Little, Too Much (2018).
