Laura De Pretto is Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences & Education, Leeds Trinity University, UK. Formerly Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, De Pretto is a cross-cultural psychologist researching how culture shapes human relationships with natural environments and migration dynamics. Her work covers identity, biculturalism, acculturation, and intragroup processes in diaspora communities. She earned her PhD in Applied Psychology at ECNU, Shanghai, after undergraduate studies in Italy. She has co-edited volumes on diaspora studies and fosters global collaborations on migration, culture, and diversity. Saira Mirza is Researcher in the Faculty of Social Sciences & Education, Leeds Trinity University, UK. Mirza is a doctoral researcher specialising in South Asian psychology, migration, child and family welfare, and intersectionality. She holds a MSc in Psychology and a BA in Supporting Children, Young People and Families. Her work integrates social justice, diaspora studies, acculturation, and applied psychology, informed by extensive professional experience in education and community development.
