After spending most of her adult life in cities (Regina, Winnipeg, Prince Albert, Windsor, and Edmonton), Allison Kydd returned to the country in 2008, settling in Indian Head, southeast Saskatchewan. There she published her first book in 2012, the novella Emily via the Greyhound Bus, (Thistledown Press), whichwas shortlisted for a Saskatchewan Book Award.
