David Girbau received the BS in Telecommunication Engineering, MS in Electronics Engineering and PhD in Telecommunication from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 1998, 2002 and 2006. From 2001 to 2007 he was a Research Assistant with the UPC. From 2005 to 2007 he was a Part-Time Assistant Professor with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
