Jean ELIA (aka John ELIA) has more than 28 years of experience in the financial sector, including 17 as CEO of major life insurance companies. He started his career working for a UK insurance company, before joining Société Générale Assurances at their subsidiary in Lebanon. He later advised a number of insurance companies in the Middle East and North Africa region before being appointed CEO in Egypt and Morocco respectively. In 2013 he became CEO of SOGELIFE, a leading life insurance company

Jean has a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Business Science Institute and Université Jean Moulin (Lyon 3). He also holds an International MBA from Paris Dauphine University in France.
