Historien, ancien officier de l’armée britannique, Peter Caddick-Adams a enseigné pendant vingt ans à l’Académie de défense du Royaume-Uni. Membre de la Royal Historical Society et de la Royal Geographical Society, diplômé de la Shrewsbury School, à Sandhurst et de l’université de Wolverhampton, il a obtenu son doctorat à l’université de Cranfield. Ses précédents ouvrages, Monty and Rommel: Parallel Lives (2011), Monte Cassino: Ten Armies in Hell (2012) et Snow and Steel: Battle of the Bulge 1944-45 (2014), sont tous devenus des références incontournables.
