Rosalie M. Lombard spent most of her career in some aspect of nursing. Following her two years in St. Anthony, she taught nursing at Columbia University and the University of Vermont, where she was an associate professor. She later was the associate director of nursing at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont. Her academic degrees are from Columbia University, Teachers College Columbia University, and Boston University.

In retirement she lives in The Villages, Florida.
