Sahar Abdallah is an Egyptian-Canadian children’s book illustrator and printmaker based in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.  She studied art education and painting in Cairo.  Since her graduation, she authored and illustrated several books; her latest book, Maimun was published in German by Baobab Books in 2024.The tradition of Egyptian art and culture is an important source of inspiration for her artwork. She has received numerous awards, such as the Etisalat Award (UAE) and the state incentive award (Egypt).
