Sharon Butala, an Officer of the Order of Canada, is the award-winning author of twenty-three books of fiction and nonfiction and five produced plays. She has three times been a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award, and is a recipient of the Glengarry Book Award, the Marian Engel Award, the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, the Cheryl and Henry Kloppenburg Award for Literary Excellence, the City of Calgary W.O. Mitchell Book Prize, and three honourary doctorates. She lives in Saskatoon.
