T. C. (Thomas) Badcock was born in Carbonear, Newfoundland. He began his career as a school principal and then joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and has since retired. He is currently employed as the executive director of The HUB.

He is a past editor-in-chief of two military newspapers, including the largest, Der Kanadier. He is the author of fourteen books and plays, including five Canadian bestsellers. One of his bestsellers, A Broken Arrow, garnered him international recognition,
