Thomas Jordan is a mechanical engineer who has worked in the fields of computational fluid dynamics, structural mechanics and coupled electromagnetics at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe since 1989. There he received his doctoral degree „Coupling of electromagnetics and structural dynamics in a fusion reactor blanket“ in 1994. Until 2001 he worked in the fields of plasma physics and continuum damage mechanics. He contributed to the working group for safety and environmental impact of fusion
